VxWin Simplifies Simulation of VxWorks Shipboard Application
Simulation of shipboard functions controlled onboard ship by VxWorks. Dual OSes (VxWorks and Windows XP) are combined on laptops and workstations for training purposes. Onboard ship functional responses are programmed into the system and the VxWorks GUI is shown inside the Windows interface. The Windows program contains the video clips of shipboard equipment and instructional materials. The program runs actual operational sequences and instructors can induce problems such as equipment failures to test the trainee.
